My Favorite Past Met Gala Looks

As I’m writing this I’m watching Vogue Magazine’s Instagram Live of celebrities arriving at the Met Gala. I just screamed seeing Nicola Coughlan. About time she was invited to the Met! And then I screamed when I saw Daisy Edgar Jones. In Sarah Jessica Parker’s break down of her 10 past Met looks on Vogue, she says that the Gala has gotten a lot bigger and more extravagant since her first time in 1995. Even from the time I started following to illustrate looks in 2014 to now, it has changed so much. I attribute that to social media. I’m watching this Live and it’s like the Olympics of art and fashion. So in throw-back fashion, here are my favorite Met Gala’s I’ve illustrated. Also, in honor of my first Met Gala illustration, which was Sarah Jessica Parker wearing the famous Oscar de la Renta gown, I redrew that gown, giving you a then-and-now moment. You’re welcome!

Let me know in the comments what look you from this Gala you want to see illustrated! I’m cursing that all the Kardashians look good. Except Kim —where you at Kim?! Seriously, pissed the sisters look jaw-dropping-good. My complicated feeling towards them is why I’m having a seriously? seriously?! reaction.

Okay, just saw Olivia Rodgrigo. OMG, and now Gwen Stefani! Okay, I need to stop. Let me know your favorite looks!
