Farmer's Market Haul

This morning, after doing yoga, the kids and I headed over to the farmer’s market. We’ve been waiting for good weather to grab some peaches and after three thwarted attempts, we woke up to sunshine and immediately headed out the door lest we miss the opportunity due to another swift summer storm.

Immigration Anniversary

This summer marked the thirtieth anniversary of mine and my parents’ immigration to the United States. Inay has now been in the States longer than she has lived in the Philippines. I am the exact age Tatay was when he immigrated. My daughter is now the age I was when I immigrated. Time is bizarre, the now and then.
