Culottes + Friday Ramblings
Hello hello! It’s time for my latest ramblings, which includes breaking down this outfit:
I’m wearing 3.1 Philip Lim culottes. They’re pretty, but ooff, they can make you hot on a day such a this. But I like them and I like them styled with this oversized collared shirt from H&M, this bucket hat from Gigi Pip, and my favorite sneakers right now, my Nike Air Force. The over all look gives a boyish-Asian-street-style vibe and I’m for it. I opened up my shirt to give a feminine touch, revealing the fits everybody scoop neck bra by Skims. Oh and hello gorgeous ruching of the culottes. Now that gives it a sexy boxer feel, or not. Regardless, it’s a very chill look and that is the theme for my summer.
I started walking. So exciting! But I read that it’s great for creativity for I’m taking my excise and being outdoors more seriously. I got 2.5 miles in today!
I’m an art nerd which means I brought my sketchbook on my walk. Always be ready for inspiration to strike! And sure enough it did! I stopped by the butterfly garden and sketched some black-eye Susan daisies.
With it being a butterfly garden, I saw zero butterflies, but there were plenty of bees. Good on me for standing my ground and continuing my sketch. I got a spread drawn and no bee stings.
I started walking not just for my creativity. Ah ha, alternative motive! I intend of becoming a runner. I probably should not have bought new sneakers at this novice stage, but I did. I can’t wait for my Cloudmonsters to arrive! Aren’t those colors pretty?
In other news, I made myself a giant pot of kare kare. It will probably take me 3 days to eat it all, but I love kare kare that much so I’m thrilled for these leftovers.
I just listened to You’re Wrong About podcast episode on Eugenics with Eric Michael Garcia. Oh my fucking goodness, it’s good US history stuff. Like, get ready to laugh (I always laugh with Sarah Marshall), face America’s anti-women, ablest and racist history (I’m cancelling corn flakes, graham crackers, and the telephone), and find your American pride.
