Sweaters & Hats

Winter can be a difficult season for me to dress up and feel stylish. I’ve been laughed at by people who understand winter and who whole heartedly accept the mittens, parkas, and snow boots. I once went to Park City, Utah wearing loafers and there was piles of snow plowed on the sides of the roads. I fight winter with my fashionista stubbornness. Probably because this isn’t my ancestral environment, but also because I know what I like and I just want to wear it every single day. So when it’s the season of sweaters and (my skin feels suffocated just thinking of it) all the winter gear, I make sure to play around with layers to keep it fun and I throw on my favorite evergreen accessories — necklaces and felt hats. Having evergreen accessories are great for keeping your style grounded year round.

Here are five variations of a turtle neck long sleeve shirt, layered with a sweater, and accessorized with jewelry and a felt hat. I didn’t realized I could create the same outfit with so many variations. But that's part of knowing what you like so you end up with an array of staple clothing. Don’t you love getting older and knowing your wardrobe staples?!
