Farmer's Market Haul
This morning, after doing yoga, the kids and I headed over to the farmer’s market. We’ve been waiting for good weather to grab some peaches and after three thwarted attempts, we woke up to sunshine and immediately headed out the door lest we miss the opportunity due to another swift summer storm.
A Gentle Resolution
On New Year’s Eve I didn’t dress up, light fire crackers, and participated in conversations that bled into one. I clank wine glasses with sparkling cider, dress in my robe, and I was in bed by 11:49. Jordan and I laugh that we almost made it to midnight. I was tired and I expected I would enter the new year that same very way.
Looking Back and Moving Forward
New year’s resolutions are essentially new habits we’re wanting to develop. It took me a whole year to see the weaknesses that kept me from achieving my goals. This intention I set in 2021 wasn’t a failed attempt and I reflect on all of this without any regret.
10 Things I Learned When Instagram was Down
I’ve managed to get into the habit of not logging into Instagram first thing in the morning, but I do check in once I start my work day and I’ve come to find that it isn’t the ideal way to, not just start my morning, but it’s not the ideal way to start my work day either. Here are 10 things I learned when Instagram was down.
I’m Back From the Mountains
I spent my summer isolated in the mountains to rediscover my sense of self and to hit the reset button on my creativity. My life there was pretty dreamy as I had the time and space to do what I needed to recenter, but eventually my dreamy isolated mountain life had to come to an end. It was time to get my head out of the clouds and put my feet back on the ground.
Setting Intentions
On the first day of January, I attended a virtual event on destigmatizing wellness and mental health in the Filipino-American community called New Year's Resolusyons. What was most impactful for me was a workshop led by political strategist Holly Lim, who taught how to set intentions instead of having resolutions.
Sundays in the Park
To say it was a tough year doesn’t even come close, but we’ve found a space where we can give ourselves a break from the burden of this crazy year.
My WFH Look
How I found my comfy, yet stylishly me work from home look. A look I’ll be wearing often as our lives continues to be inundated by Zoom meetings.
